WORKS \ Work Opportunity Rebuilding Knowledge & Skills

Green Jobs.
Real Pathways.

Stable employment and green job training for individuals transitioning from homelessness, addiction recovery, and incarceration — operating inside the SPRINGS material recovery facility.

The Pathway

From crisis identification to permanent employment — four stages within a single integrated continuum.

01

CRISIS INTAKE

Identified by COC agencies, shelters, or partner referrals

02

HOUSING SECURED

Stable housing through BEDS Emergency Delivery Service

03

WORKS TRAINING

Green job training inside SPRINGS deconstruction operations

04

SELF-SUFFICIENCY

Permanent local employment and community reintegration

Operational Model

WORKS trainees are not doing peripheral volunteer tasks. They are operating inside the SPRINGS deconstruction facility — managing raw material intake, running deconstruction machinery, sorting recovered steel, foam, and fiber streams, and executing scheduling within the pickup and delivery network.

Every unit processed by a WORKS trainee directly funds the BEDS Emergency Delivery Service. The model is self-reinforcing: environmental revenue creates employment that creates housing stability.

Trainees complete a structured certification pathway before transitioning to permanent local employment.
